UCSB alum is awarded prestigious award

Award Recipient: Kevin Moeller

UCSB alum, Kevin Moeller, has been named the 2016 recipient of the prestigious Manuel M. Baizer Award in Electrochemistry, from the Organic and Biological Electrochemistry Division of the Electrochemical Society

Moeller is a professor of Chemistry at Washington University in St. Louis. Kevin carried out both his undergraduate and graduate studies at UCSB, receiving his BA degree in 1980, and PhD in 1985.

Academic Senate Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award

Seven faculty members and four graduate student TA’s were honored on April 21 at a reception and Academic Senate Faculty Legislature meeting, including the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry's PhD candidate, Jeff Carmichael. Each year, teaching assistants play a vital role enhancing the teaching mission of the University. The Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award recognizes the contributions of graduate students to the teaching and learning process of UC Santa Barbara.
