Stucky Group Alum Receives MacArthur Fellowship

Award Recipient: Peidong Yang

Peidong Yang, a postdoctoral fellow at UC Santa Barbara from 1997-1999, has been named a MacArthur Fellow in recognition of his work "transforming the field of semiconductor nanowires and nanowire photonics, and enabling wide-ranging practical applications." Professor Butler is named Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Personnel at UCSB

Chancellor Henry Yang announced today that Professor Alison Butler has been named the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Personnel at UCSB, responsible for academic personnel matters. Dr. Butler is internationally recognized for her research in bio-inorganic chemistry and is also the Vice Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
