Dr. Pritchard received his Ph.D. from Manchester University, England in 1955 and carried out Postdoctoral study at the Canadian National Research Council and the Royal Military College. He has served with distinction as Graduate Advisor (1960-1980) and Chairman (1972-80) of the Chemistry Department through the formative years. Although "Pritch" took an early retirement in 1991 after 33 years on the faculty, he continued to be active in the administrative and educational roles of the Department, serving as Vice-Chairman of the Department (1987-94).
