The NSF has officially approved the renewal of BioPACIFIC MIP—a platform dedicated to scalable, high-throughput, and data-driven development of advanced bio-derived materials. The final award totals $19.8 million over the next five years (2025–2030) and represents a critical investment in U.S. research infrastructure and in redefining models for academic–industry collaboration. This continued support will help position both UC campuses at the forefront of biomaterials innovation and high-throughput automation for years to come.
