The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites applicants for an Assistant Project Scientist position. The budgeted salary that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position at 100% time is $75,900 to $84,200.
The Assistant Project Scientist will provide independent contribution to leading research efforts on NITEC related click chemistry to generate light- and ONOO-responsive probes, polymers, nanoparticles, hydrogels, and devices. Responsibilities of the Assistant Project Scientist will include:
• Synthesizing bio-functional polymers via controlled polymerization strategies (ROMP, RAFT, ATRP) for fabrication of stimuli-responsive hydrogels and smart devices.
• Working with collaborators and lab members to guide and train them on all aspects of NITEC related click chemistry.
