Bio:
Faady Siouri graduated with a B.S in chemistry (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of California, Irvine. After graduation, he taught chemistry and physics at Jerusalem high school. When Faady was an undergraduate student, he worked as a discussion leader for physical and analytical chemistry, a supplement instructor for mathematics and physics, a lab technician assistant, and an undergraduate researcher at Dr. Nien-Hui Ge's research laboratory.
Currently, Faady is pursuing a PhD in physical and analytical chemistry by building a Resonance Enhanced Multi-Photon Ionization (REMPI) instrument to explore the excited state dynamics of DNA.
The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department at UC Santa Barbara selected Faady as the 2012-2013 winner of the "Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award."
