The NSF announced a $23.7M award of a Materials
Innovation Platform to establish the BioPolymers, Automated Cellular
Infrastructure, Flow, and Integrated Chemistry: Materials Innovation
Platform (BioPACIFIC MIP) at UCSB and UCLA. DCB Prof. Javier Read de
Alaniz will be the Director of the BioPACIFIC MIP, and the project will
include many other researchers at UCSB including co-PI and DCB faculty
member Prof. Craig Hawker. BioPACIFIC is one of only two MIPs funded by
NSF. Congratulations to Javier, Craig and the entire team!
