The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara, invites applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach biochemistry laboratory courses in the 2023-2024 academic year with potential to include summer 2023. Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The availability of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Percent appointments my vary, up to 100%.

Main duties will include instruction of the lecture and laboratory portion of the biochemistry laboratory course and supervision of graduate student teaching assistants. The position is up to full time.

 

The Department is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and service. The posting will remain open until, and close on, March 31, 2024 to accommodate department needs.
