Congratulations to Prof. Thuc-Quyen Nguyen as one of three awardees to receive the prestigious Wilhelm-Exner Medal in 2023! The award ceremony was held in Austria May 24, 2023.

This medal awards outstanding scientists and inventors, whose excellent work has opened new possibilities in the industrial and professional application. New laureates are to be appointed only by the illustrious collective of former recipients of the medal. The Wilhelm-Exner-Medal-Foundation has been established more than 100 years ago by Österreichischer Gewerbeverein (ÖGV, Austrian Association for SME). Wilhelm Exner, eponym of the medal, has been a pioneer in the Austrian industrial development, technologist, politician, reformer of the industrial education, founder of the Technische Museum Wien (Museum of Technology, Vienna), first president of the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna and Honorary President of the Österreichischer Gewerbeverein.
